DESIGN innovation CHALLENGes

Our design innovation challenges are tailor made for your group to encourage creative problem solving and innovation. To date, we have facilitated design innovation workshops to both children and adults in small and big groups (up to 500 participants).

Upcoming Workshops

Case study:

Arabian Engineering Adventures

Date: October 10, 17, 24 & 31
Location: Santa Clara, California
Ages: 8 - 14

Join the adventures of four ingenious siblings as they travel in Arabia. Be fascinated by the traditional architecture, the discovery and reengineering of a historical invention and the mathematics behind their observations. You will learn about light and heat diffussion, levers, gears, and the mechanical advantage that they provide. With this knowledge you are ready for the design challenge and for making a prototype of your design solution.

This hands-on workshop is an excellent and practical way to see how mathematics, social studies, science, engineering, and other disciplines are interconnected.
